I just got a copy of your first edition book. I'm hoping i can eventually afford the 2nd edition. Anyway I'm very comfortable program in ancient IBM Basic but not at all OO oriented. Still trying to wrap my head around that. I'm wondering if there is a good free IDE you would recommend so that I can build things as they look. I'm very comfortable with *nix and currently have a sandbox with J! there for this purpose but that still doesn't help with what commands I can use where and the php syntax. I have Dreamweaver cs3 but don't know how to use it. I use crimson editor the most because its comfortable. Alot like Nano, & Pico are. I'd really appreciate any recommendations. I see so many things that could be made better for J! I want to learn how to do them.
