Welcome to Joseph LeBlanc's Joomla development forum. This forum is primairly intended to discuss the development of components I've authored, such as the podcasting suite and Daily Message tutorial. Although I happily answer general questions about Joomla, you may get quicker answers by searching the Joomla forums.

Due to spam abuse, you must register to post in the forums. However, you are allowed to browse the forums without registration. Commercially-oriented, off-topic messages are $100 per word, thank you for understanding!

I had installed everything perfectly fine. It all worked and I was very content.
But then, something unrelated to this Podcast Suite forced me to do a complete re-installation of Joomla. And from then, things got bad.
Eventually I had to restore an older backup of my database.

But since then, Podcast Suite has not been working.
Although the {enclose} code is in the relevant pages, the player doesn't show on the website.
I could do nothing with the files I had, because of the database issue, mentioned in another thread.
After reading that thread on this forum, I cleaned up the jos_podcast, so I could have something to work with again.

Now, files do appear again, and I can use them to make new articles, but after saving them they appear on my site as {enclose ccc.mp3}, literally, without the option to play them...

How to resolve this?
I hope my issue is clear...

edit: I think that, somehow, the player got 'lost' or deleted, if that is possible.
I have now finally been able to make a link via the Podcast Suite to a new article, and it is all clickable under 'Listen to this!', but when I do that, a new window opens with quicktime...

What happened to the player on the page itself?
How can I re-install it?

Thanks for using the suite! They player is in the Plugin, so if you don't already have the plugin installed, do so and publish it. Then go to the Parameters button in Manage Clips and choose the player rather than links.
