I want to add a "download this audio file" link to my podcast article. I was wondering if there is any security risk to link to /components/com_podcast/media/filename.mp3, or if I should move the default location for the files to somewhere else?

There's no security vulnerability that I know of if you link it there. However, if you don't want potential hackers to know that you're using Podcast Suite, you can use a different location by specifying one under the Parameters button in the backend.
